Omerod

Learners today leaders tomorrow

Welcome to the Ormerod House page

Our house is named after Thomas Johnson Ormerod, who was the Archdeacon of Suffolk and the rector of St Mary Church in Redenhall for 30 years in the 19th Century.

The Ormerod family is a thriving and supporting community of Ormerodians who aspire to be successful in all they do, while enjoying their time in school.

I hope that you will enjoy visiting our house page, which reflects what Ormerod is about… For more information, please follow us on Twitter. Click here.

Our Motto and Values  –  Learners today Leaders tomorrow

In Ormerod, we encourage students to be learners today, meaning we can make mistakes as that is a part of our development and then we learn from them. Then progress to be leaders tomorrow, always lead by example and be a student who peers aspire to be. We encourage all students to take risks, to experience life out of their comfort zone, and strive to be the best they can be.

Mike Wazowski (as featured in Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University) is proud and confident, faithful and devoted to his friends, hard-working and career driven.

He shares these qualities with many Ormerodians, and as such, is a perfect choice for a mascot.

He is here to remind us all that hard-work pays off – after all, even he made it to university!

I feel valued as a member of staff. I like the fact the school has a clear vision, a vision that I feel a part of.
